Ingredients of Majun Muqawwi Reham

• Gond Keekar : Acacia arabica commonly known as Babool, Gum arabic tree is a medicinal tree which is found throughout the dry and sandy parts of India. Its use as datun for teeth cleaning is well known.  Regular use of Babool datun helps to strengthens gums, teeth and also reduces plaque accumulation and gingival inflammation. Apart from babool it is also known as gum arabic tree, Babul/Kikar, Egyptian thorn, Sant tree, Al-sant or prickly acacia, thorn mimosa or prickly acacia. The other parts of Babool tree used for medicinal purpose are bark, gum, leaves, seeds and pods. Babool leaves, bark, gum and seeds all have antibacterial, antihistaminic, anti-inflammatory, astringent and haemostatic properties.  Leaves, bark, pods and gum of babool tree have medicinal virtues. The pods help remove catarrhal matter and phlegm from the bronchial tubes. The gum calms any, irritation of the skin and soothes the inflamed membranes of the pharynx, alimentary canal and genito-urinary organs. 
• Maghz Chironji :  Chironji tree is commercially very useful. It bears edible fruits. The ripe fruits are sweet, nutritious, laxative and useful in fever and excessive thirst. The seed which is present in the fruit is deshelled to get the kernel. The kernel is called Chironji nuts. They are small, brownish and have nutty taste. The kernel contain about 52% oil, which is used as substitute for olive and almond oils. This oil is useful in treating diseases of skin. An adhesive is also obtained from the tree and available as Chironji ki Gond.  Chironji nuts are used as brain tonic. They are good for skin due to their richness in fat, vitamins and minerals. These nuts are antioxidants and improves body immunity to fight infections.Chironji nuts are used in preparation of many sweet preparations such as halwa, kheer, laddu, paak etc. They are also used as dry fruit in preparation of sweets.

Dosage of Majun Muqawwi Reham

To be taken 5 grams twice in a day with water.
