It is an antagonist of orphan G protein-coupled receptor 55 (GPR55, a potential third metabotropic cannabinoid receptor) without binding to CB1 and CB2 receptors. Interaction with GPR55 results in the inactivation of its pronociceptive signalling and thereby may provide symptomatic pain relief.
Inflammation or swelling could occur due to multiple reasons. Cannabinoids have been shown to reduce cytokine and chemokine levels which suppress inflammatory responses by binding to CB2 receptors present on immune cells and thereby provide relief against swelling.
How to use:
